Side Note :
We arrived with snow on the 14th of February, yet we saw the Storks and the cranes return from the South that weekend and on the 17th ; the last day of our stay, spring arrived together with a flock of little birds which I guess were swallows, but I'm not sure about that, as they were in a very large group flying above the trees in the wood where we were walking, which made it hard to observe them because of the branches... and a summery warm spring sun blinding us.
It was a lovely experience though, I will not easy forget... And the most beautiful Valentine ever, organised by Mother Nature.

Februari 2025. Da's wel een olifantsdracht, die ooievaar :-D

VerwijderenSo you enjoyed Valentine 1 hour 27 minutes north of Seanhenge. ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnd before that you had climbed the Brocken? 93,8 km southeast?
Phew!!!
The Brocken, was another journey, Sean, I made in november 2023. But I wasn' t aware to be so close to Seanhenge in February. Maybe we were looking at the same flock of cranes that time? ;-)
