Atlant & Kariatide

VAN HET QUISISANA PALEIS IN KARLSBAD (CZ)

HEEL DE WERELD, BEGIN BIJ JEZELF ...

Deze Atlant en Kariatide flankeren de ingang van de oorspronkelijke familieresidentie (1888) te Karlsbad, van Marie Mattoni en Anton Pupp de oprichters van de Mattoni bottelarij (1873) van mineraal water in Kyselka, een buurgemeente van het kuuroord Karlsbad (met de 300 bronnen !!!), gelegen in Bohemen, tegenwoordig Tsjechië.

QUISISANA betekent letterlijk : hier vindt men genezing. Ik vond het daarom wel passend om deze tekening te posten tussen Kerst en Nieuwjaar, in de hoop dat mijn tekeningen en deze blog een kleine bijdrage mogen leveren in het helen van deze voortdurend strijdende wereld.

HERE YOU 'LL FIND HEALING ...

This Atlantid and Kariatide flank the entrance of the original family residence (Karlsbad 1888) of Marie Mattoni and Anton Pupp founders of the Mattoni bottler company (1873) of mineral water in the spa municipality of Kyselka, near the city of Karlsbad (that counts 300 wells), now in the Czech Republic.

QUISISANA (the name of the palace where I sketched these statues) litteraly means : Here you'll find healing... So I choose to post this drawing between Christmass and New Year with the hope in my heart, to contribute with my drawings, some of that healing to this struggling world ...
