Kanttekeningen / a bit of history
Three times the MASKOT ehm... mascot of the place where I live.
It is also the mockingname given in the past by people from surrounding areas, to the natives of my village. There is an ancient story connected with it, envolving the Vikings who attacked our region long time ago... that perhaps I might tell you one day.
But also the rumour is spread about us, that our character shows similarities with that of the mocking bird "Garrulus glandarius" (vlaamse gaai or as we call it : The "wuiten") :
It's told we also, like to mock with most things in life, no matter how serious they are... don't know if that's true, but it might be...
